NRG Events presents the NRG Series x Riftbound and Riftbound Champs

The NRG Series has run for 10 years and brought the Magic. Now, you can be there at the beginning of NRG Series x Riftbound

Throughout NRGEvents.gg weekends in 2026, Riftbound will be featured as a showdown series with cash prizes at stake and an eye toward the big stage: Riftbound Champs.

What’s locked in so far:

• $5,000 Riftbound Showdown events each weekend. Sometimes there will be a double Showdown weekend with an invite on the line both Saturday and Sunday at NRGEvents.gg.

• Further be on the lookout for a $10,000 Trios Riftbound Showdown later in the season (details TBD).

• Every winning player or team from these showdowns earns a spot in the Riftbound Champs.

This means bringing your competitors to 'Rune' is beyond the cash prizes; it ensures your place in the championship with a chance to win an additional $5,000!

Riftbound Champs—Where You're Part of the Legend

The season culminates in Riftbound Champs, a $15,000 premier event with:

• $5,000 first prize

• A 16-player bracket

• A competitive structure which may featured sealed but definitely constructed play (final format details to be shared before the last at-large event)

How the field fills out:

• Winners from the NRG Series Riftbound Showdowns across the season

• The remaining slots filled by at-large qualifiers

Riftbound Champs promises a showcase of the best strategies, decks, and legends from across NRGEvents.gg competition weekends—and a real chance to claim one of the first major Riftbound competitive titles of 2026.

Crossing the Rift: Learn to Play all Day

Riftbound isn’t just for seasoned grinders. At every NRGEvents.gg weekend, you can “Cross the Rift”—an area dedicated to welcoming new players into the game.

Whether you’re brand new to Riftbound or just want a refresher, this space will help you:

• Learn the core mechanics

• Pilot your first deck

• Get practice games in a supportive space

Riftbound’s rule set is designed to be inviting for new players while still offering complexity for competitive matches, and Crossing the Rift will make it easy for any attendee to discover the Legends and find a new hobby they love.

NOTE: Riftbound: League of Legends Trading Card Game (formerly “Project K”) is Riot Games’ new collectible TCG set in the League of Legends universe, where players build decks around champion legends and fight across dynamic battlefields to score victory. Since its global release in late 2025, Riftbound has captivated both League and trading-card-game fans with accessible but deep mechanics, a diverse cast of champions, and formats that support 1v1 duels, multiplayer free-for-all, and team play.

Across the Rift, players choose a champion and two Domains that define their deck’s identity, balance army units and spells, and battle over contested objectives.
