Welcome to NRG Events PopCon, Indianapolis (May 8th - 10th)!

NRGEvents.gg is Powering Your Play at PopCon.us, a convention dedicated to all things pop culture now welcoming the new Card Hall (located in Hall A) ran by NRG. With your favorite games and a community of enthusiastic players the PopCon.us Card Hall offers Learn to Play, large cash-prize main events, a jam-packed roster of side events, free play areas, and more!

This is your chance to play your way. Whether you want to assemble your Infinity Gauntlet (learn every Trading Card Game at PopCon.us), slay the dragon Smaug (earn a pro tour invite in the NRG Series), do a dungeon crawl (play side events with friends), or find The One Ring (cracking sealed product P.S. this isn't just a metaphor, look up "One Ring MTG") the Card Hall is for you!

NRGEvents is located in Hall A, the Card Hall, of PopCon.us

What is the NRG Series?

The NRG Series is THE Midwest Premiere Tournament circuit. Every NRGEvents.gg weekend includes qualifying Showdowns, Cash Trials, and Regional Championship Qualifiers where players earn NRG Points based on standing or match wins and Showdown winners receive direct invitations to the NRG Championship, an invite-only paper tournament held at the end of the year. Earn enough NRG Points, and you will earn yourself an at-large leaderboard invitation to Champs! More information about leaderboards can be found here.

NRG Champs: Magic has a prize pool of $35,000 and a pro tour invitation contested by 24 qualifying players. NRG Champs: Riftbound has a prize pool of $15,000 contested by 16 qualifying players.

What is PopCon.us?

Event Information

Admission to the Card Hall is free for everyone! Enrollment in any NRGEvents.gg event gives access to a special one time deal: a $20 PopCon day badge or a $40 PopCon Weekend Badge!

Learn to Play, 10am-7pm

Learn to Play is open from 10am-7pm (noon-8pm on Friday), is free, and does not require registration; just walk up on your own time, sit down, and learn a great new game! After completing your learn to play game you will be gifted 5 prize wall tickets, enough to get you your first booster pack!

Hotel Block

NRG has arranged a discount hotel block at $140/night. Bookings must be made BEFORE April 8th so book now! There is a large concert featuring Morgan Wallen this weekend so hotels will be sparse. We highly recommend securing your room via the NRG hotel block as soon as possible. If a hotel in unavailable or unaffordable, we recommend looking for hotels or Airbnbs further from the convention center and utilizing Indy's robust bus system.
