Welcome to NRG Events Milwaukee (August 22nd-23rd)!

NRG Events is ready for an epic start to the second half of the year, featuring a very special event piloted by hand selected Tournament Organizers across the world... the Riftbound Showdown event is now a Riftbound Showdown Series event featuring RC Invites, RQ Badges, Metal Legend Cards, and an NRG Champs Invite.

You can also expect the glory of hoisting trophies high with your buddies in our $10k Team Trios Showdown and playing your format of choice in one of our two Saturday Trials. The race for at large leaderboard spots is tight, not to mention contention for the coveted MVP Award, which grants you free entry into all 2027 Main Events.

What is the NRG Series?

The NRG Series is THE Midwest Premiere Tournament circuit. Every NRGEvents.gg weekend includes qualifying Showdowns, Cash Trials, and Regional Championship Qualifiers where players earn NRG Points based on standing or match wins and Showdown winners receive direct invitations to the NRG Championship, an invite-only paper tournament held at the end of the year. Earn enough NRG Points, and you will earn yourself an at-large leaderboard invitation to Champs! More information about leaderboards can be found here.

NRG Champs: Magic has a prize pool of $35,000 and a pro tour invitation contested by 24 qualifying players.
NRG Champs: Riftbound has a prize pool of $15,000 contested by 16 qualifying players.

Learn to Play, Noon-8pm

Learn to Play is open from Noon-8pm Saturday and Sunday, is free, and does not require registration; just walk up on your own time, sit down, and learn a great new game! After completing your learn to play game you will be gifted 5 prize wall tickets, enough to get you your first booster pack.

Riftbound quickly rose to dominance since its release in 2025. Based on League of Legends characters and propertoes, it is now one of the most popular TCGs out there. Riftbound has a vibrant competitive scene with copious tournament support from its publisher.

Neuroscape is a Cyberpunk TCG pre-releasing at NRG Milwaukee! WIth one of the largest gaming kickstarters ever raising nearly $600,000 this game is sure to excite and delight.

Hotel Block

NRG has arranged two discount hotel blocks. We highly recommend securing your room via an NRG hotel block as soon as possible.

The Hyatt Regency Milwaukee $199/night (3min walk from the Baird Center). Parking at $36/night. Must book BEFORE July 28th.

The Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Airport $139/night (20 min drive from the Baird Center). Must book BEFORE Sunday August 9th. Parking at $15/night.
